NAME: Jaclyn Carlson

NAME: Terry McMurray

How old are you? Your fiancée? I am 28 years old and my fiancee is 33.

What do you do for a living? Your fiancée? I am a student at Rockford College. I am studying to be an elementary teacher. Terry, my fiance, is in flooring and also does concrete.

How did the two of you meet?  We actually met each other at a local resturaunt (lung fung in Belvidere). He started as a delivery driver to help make extra cash during the winter months and I have worked there since I was 15. I guess you could say I was waiting for him to come along.

How long have you been dating? We have been dating for about five years now.

When and how were you engaged? We got engaged a couple of years ago. We had a really special night and Terry realized that he could not live without me and didn't want to, so he proposed and I accepted. It was very romantic.

Do you have a wedding date set? If so, what is the date? We dont have a date set. We were trying to wait until I was done with school and are families do not have alot of money so if we wanted a nice wedding we have to pay for it. So basically we have to wait until we get enough money to have a good wedding.

Why do you think it would be fun to get married on the ice? It would definitely be memorable. We actually went skating for the first time since we were kids. It was great. I don't think I have laughed that hard for years. My kids even thought it was pretty funny. We have wanted to get married for a while now and this way everyone will have cold feet. Haha.

Why should you win this contest? We should win this contest because if we do not we may never be able to afford the wedding we want. I am excited to be Terry's wife but I want to have a good wedding. Everyone in my family has been married at a church with a potluck reception. I want to break that tradition and would like to have the most beautiful wedding.

Describe each other's personality. Terry is very outgoing and competitve. He always wins any game he plays. It is quite fustrating some times especially since I am usually the opponent. I am a very nice quiet person, but am pretty outgoing once I feel comfortable. We both enjoy helping others and going the extra mile for the kids.

What are your hobbies? And your fiancée's? My hobbies are volunteering to help the homeless, helping my children and enjoying a good book. Terry's hobbies include every sport known to man (watching and playing), building different things and playing with the kids.

What is the most outrageous thing you and your fiancée have done? The most outrageous thing we have done was probably on the old Genoa football field. His mother's house is right by it and when we first met I would go over there to see him. Well one night we snuck over the field and the police pulled up in the parking lot. You could say I was very embarrassed and it was probably the most outrageous thing we have done.

What is the most outrageous thing you would do to win this wedding? At this point in life we would probably do anything to get a good wedding within the legal realm. We are pretty open and honest people. Terry is very competitive so I can only imagine to what extent he would go to win. You name it and we would probably do it. However we are not the greatest with really strange food so we would definitely beable to choke something discussting down but I am not sure how long it would stay down.

Tell us something unusual about you as a couple. Something unusal about us as a couple is we probably have a strange sense of humor. We can get a little crazy once in a while. We just enjoy laughing even when it is at the expense of each other.

Which of these most closely describes you? I'm the coach; You know it when I'm not happy but I'm alway proud of my team.

Which of these most closely describes your significant other? I'm the rabid fan; I love my team and am never afraid to show it!

Imagine yourself at a wedding reception. Which one is you? I'm Uncle Joe; I only come for the free drinks, and I capitalize on it!
