NAME: Kimberly Bradshaw
NAME: Adam Sanchez
How old are you? Your fiancée? Kimberly, 26; Adam, 27
What do you do for a living? Your fiancée? Kimberly, Training Supervisor at BioLife Plasma Services; Adam, Johnson Controls, assembly for Chrysler vehicles
How did the two of you meet? I was having a few friends over one day and asked Adam to leave my house because he was getting a little "out of hand" with another guest and I didn't know him, so he had to go. When I saw him again, I had realized he was actually trying to get the other guest to be more respectful of my house and I apologized, so he asked for my phone number.
How long have you been dating? Just over 3 years
When and how were you engaged? On Valentine's day this year Adam took me to Wisconsin Dells and did the whole down on one knee at a fancy restaurant after pacing to the bathroom and ordering a few too many Martini's.
Do you have a wedding date set? If so, what is the date? Currently is set for May 30, 2009
Why do you think it would be fun to get married on the ice? I definitely think it's something that not many think of to do and is still someplace local that our families can come and be involved in. The wedding we are planning right now is a struggle since Adam is working in the auto industry, and we all know how that is going, so to be given the opportunity to fullfil all our dreams without bankruptcy would please myself and Adam in so many ways. He is very family oriented and does not want to do anything to exclude any of his family and I, of course, have always had that dream of the fairy tale wedding, now on ice just puts that extra twist on things and I have always been one to pull a few tricks out of my sleeve! :)
Why should you win this contest? Adam and I did things a little backwards in the beginning so we already have a 2 year old daughter, Micayla, who is our world! We work so hard to give her everything that we never had as children and I feel like we just need that last thing that we can take as our own and not feel guilty like we are holding something back from her. I am an only child and Adam is an only son, so this wedding is sort of like a huge accomplishment for our families and we want to make them proud.
Describe each other's personality. Adam and I are both definite leaders. This is also where we can have difficulties. We are very determined to accomplish goals that we set for ourselves and have the best for our family. I love to play jokes and keep the atmosphere light at work and with my friends. The same goes for Adam, he loves music and loves showing his friends a good time, even if it's at his own expense.
What are your hobbies? And your fiancée's? I love sports, tennis, softball, bowling, pretty much anything with a little competition keeps me fired up! Adam is big into music and working out. We both definitely spend a lot of time playing with our daughter, too!
What is the most outrageous thing you and your fiancée have done? I think recently, the most entertaining thing we've done is for Halloween dress up like Dog the Bounty Hunter and his wife Beth. The costumes were hilarious and the show we put on at the party made everyone laugh and gave us the first place in show!
What is the most outrageous thing you would do to win this wedding? I have no clue what could even be a possibility for this contest! I think if put up to competition we'd try about anything to be the winners!! We are true competitors....oh yea, I always beat Adam at everything! ;)
Tell us something unusual about you as a couple. I am a Cubs fan and he's a White Sox fan....how does that happen?
Which of these most closely describes you? I'm the referee; I call all the shots and there is nothing you can do about it!
Which of these most closely describes your significant other? I'm the referee; I call all the shots and there is nothing you can do about it!
Imagine yourself at a wedding reception. Which one is you? I'm Uncle Joe; I only come for the free drinks, and I capitalize on it!
Imagine yourself at a wedding reception. Which one is your significant other? I'm the Groom; I'm sweating bullets... Did I just make a mistake?
